TELA is a female owned modern decor studio born on the Mornington Peninsula dedicated to crafting unique, timeless homewares that transform everyday objects into statement pieces. Each item is personally designed by Jesse Bain and locally sourced as much as possible.
blending the raw beauty of stone, the delicate clarity of glass, and the sleek strength of metal to create homewares that are both practical and poetic.
My passion for interior design and decor was born from the world my parents created around me. My father, a builder by trade, and my mother, whose innate sense of style shaped our family home, instilled in me a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and elegant design. Through their ability to create, they nourished my own love for interiors grounded in authenticity, warmth, and creativity.
Their influence encouraged me to explore, to make, and ultimately to create a venture that celebrates thoughtful design and the enduring art of creating pieces that feel truly authentic and loved.
Rooted in a philosophy that elevates the ordinary, our collections are born from a desire to romanticize the daily rituals of life — whether it’s the act of lighting a candle, setting a table, or organizing your space. We believe that beauty belongs in the small moments, and our mission is to make those moments unforgettable.
Every piece is a celebration of contrast — where industrial materials meet soft and sensual forms. Crafted as one-off or made-to-order, our homewares are meant to be cherished, displayed, and used with intention.
